Salt
Spring offers
a wide range of activities. Popular recreational activities include scenic
country drives and hikes, golf, tennis, boating, fishing, cycling, swimming,
hang-gliding, kayaking and canoeing. Shopping includes the busy outdoor
Saturday Market plus various art galleries, both in town and via home tours,
as well as clothing, souvenir and gift shops in Ganges. Entertainment includes
weekend music and song at a variety of pubs, restaurants and ArtSpring,

Saturday Market
- Every Saturday,
April through to October, Ganges Centennial Park is host to the famous
Saturday Market, where local artisans offer their works and products.

- The performing
arts centre on Salt Spring, known as ArtSpring, displays art exhibits
and has a 255-seat theatre for musicals and other entertainment.
- The
Studio Tour
- During the summer,
Salt Spring features an artists' studio tour at various "in-home" studios
around the island. Come take a self-guided tour of your choice of 42
diverse and fascinating artisans' studios located throughout beautiful
Salt Spring Island. You will meet the individual artists right where
they live and create the special products that have earned our island
its unique reputation. You'll find everything from fine art to folk
art, from wood bowls to baskets, from jam to jewelry.

- ARTCRAFT is an
annual summer-long exhibition and sale from the artisans and artists
of the Gulf Islands -- a professional quality show that includes unique
hand crafted works of interest to all ages and budgets.
- Winery
Tours
- Salt Spring is
fast becoming known for its wines and ice wines. There are three wineries
in full operation that offer tours and wine tasting. For details, visit
